Student associations

There are many student associations connected to life at Lund University, all run by and for students. These associations focus on a wide range of interests, including music, theatre, politics, religion, and more.

Most associations hold information evenings and start-up meetings at the beginning of both the spring and autumn semesters – a great chance to learn more and get involved.

If this is your first semester at Lund, you can meet several of the student associations at the 'Student Association Fair' (SAF), which is held in English during the Orientation Weeks.

You can also attend the Swedish version of this event, 'Hälsningsgillet' (the 'Welcome Expo'), held at the AF building at the beginning of each semester.

Most student associations host information evenings and kick-off meetings at the start of every semester.

The Academic Society

Several student associations are linked to the Academic Society ('Akademiska Föreningen', or AF, in Swedish), which organises various cultural events for students.
